Easter Week is here!

Dear Friends

I hope your Resurrection Week has started well. I have been thinking about Jesus’ claim, before the cross, of “I am the resurrection and the life.” Crazy.

We will be praying Wednesday morning at 6:00 at Cornerstone for our weekend. Please join if you can, and if not, I hope you will find a place and space to pray.

We have met our goal of 50 volunteers for the Quail Run 5K! Remember to arrive in time to be in the school by 5:00 and let Marley know if that is a problem. Watch the weather and dress for being outside for at least an hour. Lawn chairs and water bottles are good to bring too.

For you sunshine people, we will have a Sunrise Service at 6:30-7:15 Sunday morning at Overlook Park at Clinton Lake. Danny Phillips will give a short meditation. Would anyone like to bring a guitar and lead one or two songs in worship? Let me know…

Our Easter Service is Sunday at 10:30 at Maceli’s, 1031 New Hampshire. There is plenty of parking directly across the street. Please arrive a little before 10:00 if possible as we will have refreshments (pastries, juice, fruit, coffee).   I think us bringing the refreshments (instead of buying donuts) adds our welcoming, family touch to the morning. Could you please arrive by 10:00 and bring something? Sign up on the website.

Invite your friends, co-workers, neighbors, etc. – as you discern who is ready to be invited. The goal is not to stuff as many people in a room as possible; rather it is to be attentive to the Spirit in terms of relationships, being willing to take a risk and invite someone God places on our heart.

If any of you are looking for a place to share lunch this Sunday, our home is open to you. If anyone else also wants to open your home, just get the word out any way you want. I guess you don’t need me to tell you that!

I am looking forward to celebrating Life with you this Sunday! See you soon.
